Fun in Pismo

Things are slowing down in Pismo but when Aubrey and I visit our fun definitely doesn't slow down!! We keep very busy!
On September 4, the Seahawks played Green Bay so why not dress up and take some pre-game pictures!! We were staying at a hotel so we stepped outside to take a picture! I ran to the store and got some wings and veggies! We had a great night and the Hawks won!!

Friday night we were able to stay at Brad's co-workers apartment! It was a huge blessing because we wanted to stay until Saturday to meet up with some friends at the Beach. On Friday we went to SLO and walked the shops and had big juicy burgers for lunch! We had a great time!

Saturday morning we got up early and got bundled up in our sweatshirts and walked down to the beach! Aubrey is such a trooper and is up for any adventure!

Our first stop was to Old West Cinnamon Roll Bakery! You could smell the cinnamon rolls from blocks away!
I got the pecan loaded cinnamon roll
And Brad got the original with cream cheese frosting! They both were heavenly!!

Sometimes I just have to take pictures of these two because I love them so much!!

We then walked down to the beach to look for some wildlife! Aubrey of course fell asleep!!

We had to take a selfie! Excuse my no make-up face and Brad's half beard/mexi stache!

The water was pretty rough that morning so we didn't find very many shells or sand dollars but we did watch some sweet surfers!
I am obsessed with the pier! I think it is so cool!

Aubrey then wakes up right when we get back to the apartment, right when all of the fun and excitement is over. She then decides to be hyper when Brad and I are both exhausted!

We took quick naps before our friends got into town and then headed back down to the beach to eat at Mo's BBQ! We had garlic fries and bomb pulled pork sandwiches with slaw on top!!

Then the Heiner Family met up with us!!
Joben was bringing water and wet sand up towards us to have some for building sand castles!

It was so cute watching him go back and forth to get the "wet" sand!

Tavian was figuring out how all of the toys worked that his mom brought!

Emery was enjoying the sand too! It was the kids' first time at the beach!

Dot and Brandon enjoying some snacks!

Brandon is an Engineer and he was definitely putting his skills and thought processes into making one awesome sand castle!

Aubrey just chilled and watched them all!

I of course snapped hundreds of pictures!

Dot then put her sand sculpting skills to the test and made the kids some awesome sculptures! Emery was a mermaid!

Brandon and the boys continued building...
The Final product!
Joben was so excited!!

Brad crashed into some big waves!

Dot got some cuddles with Aubrey!

Aubrey loved the sand in her toes!
And giggles with Daddy!!

Then Dot and the Family got really creative making Tavian into a race car driver!

Complete with the Lucky Number 7!
Once Tavian was done Joben got to have a turn!
and of course Emery too!

Before we wrapped the afternoon up, Dot was at it again, sculpting away!
A sea turtle! She is quite good, don't you think!!??

Aubrey once again crashed and slept the entire way home back to Bakersfield!

We had such a blast at the beach! We were so grateful to have friends come and spend the afternoon with us too! Dot and I both grew up in Spokane and we both moved down to Bakersfield for our husbands jobs within a couple of weeks of each other! Dot is about 10 years older than me so it took a little while to make the connection that we were both from North Spokane, but once we did we were glad to have each other and reminisce about our hometowns!! It is amazing how the Lord is so aware of us and knows what we need in our life! We have become great friends and enjoy having game nights and going on walks! Our husbands have also become close and work in the church callings together.

Pismo... We look forward to more fun adventures!
