Because of the sudden passing of Brad's Grandma, we decided to celebrate Brad's birthday before we headed up to Boise for the funeral services.
So Friday night we had a celebration before we headed out of town Saturday morning. Aubrey and I had bought table decorations, picked up a pizza, and wrapped Birthday presents! Brad was very surprised when he came home from work!
We also made his his favorite carrot cake with cream cheese frosting!
Brad turned 26!
That same night we spent a couple of hours at Urgent Care. Aubrey spiked a fever that night and we went in and sure enough Aubrey had an ear infection. I am so glad we acted upon the prompting to take her in because our journey up to Boise the next morning would have been a whole lot longer of a journey with a sick baby! We got antibiotics and a few hours later she was good as new!
When we got into Boise we were able to meet up with some dear friends of ours, the Klings! Brad has been childhood friends with them and we were so happy we could go out to lunch with them!
We then met up with the rest of the family at Grandpa Hill's.
He was excited to see Aubrey!
Aubrey loved their house! She especially loved this swing on the back porch.
When the rest of the family got into town, Aubrey and Grant were reunited and had so much fun playing together!

We stayed at our friend's house during our stay in Boise. We met Maddy and Jacob in Rexburg when we were going to school. Their daughter Mikayli is 4 months older than Aubrey and they had so much fun together.
On Monday, Brad had to work a half day at the Branch in Nampa, Idaho and then we went out to lunch for his Birthday. We went to Five Guys since we don't live near one in California!
We then changed our clothes and headed to the viewing for Grandma Hill.
We got to visit with family and say goodbye to Grandma!

After the viewing we headed back to Grandpa's and had more fun with the family!

The next morning was the funeral. It was a beautiful service. All of the grandchildren sang and there was so many in attendance. Grandma Hill lived an amazing life and influenced so many!
Aundrea and Taryn did a beautiful musical number.
We had 34 of 38 Grandchildren there and 5 of 8 Great Grandchildren! What a legacy!
We headed back to the church building and had a wonderful Luncheon.

After the funeral, every one left town to head home. Thankfully we didn't have to leave until the next morning so we got to spend a night out with Maddy, Jacob, and MiKayli. We went out to dinner and went to see the fountains at a new shopping center.

We headed home Wednesday morning and had a long drive home! It was so great seeing everyone and celebrating the life of Grandma Hill! Thanks for all of those who made the funeral so beautiful and memorable.
The next Sunday was Mother's Day. Brad and Aubrey made me Breakfast in bed!

Mother's day was great! I felt very honored and loved!
In May Aubrey really became independent! She was walking, playing, and ruling the house!
She loves to get into Mommy's things! This was the Hat that Brad and Aubrey got me for Mother's Day!
Our dear friends moved in May too! Janessa and her sweet family moved to Georgia! Janessa moved here about the same time we did and we served in the primary together! We miss them terribly!
Aubrey Continued her swimming lessons into May. This was her first class without Mommy! She was pretty scared and cried the whole time but still did everything she was supposed to do. We took her out of lessons for the summer but we are hoping to put her back in later this Fall.

In May, my friend Lindsay had a baby shower! She now has a sweet little girl named Charlie! It was so much fun to be apart of her shower!

Brad and I went on a date night to celebrate his birthday once more! We went to dinner and a movie!

Aubrey Started her climbing phase by getting up on the ottoman. Luckily our couches are too high for her to climb on them!

Aubrey has also become quite the fashionista! She loves my scarves and her sunglasses! She usually says, "Cool!" when she puts them on!
At the end of May Brad and I got a group together to run a 5k/10k for those who were interested. We went over to the coast and ran it! We had a great time! I pushed Aubrey in the stroller. It was a pretty difficult race because half of it was in the sand!

Brad finished his 10k before my 5k but I was ok with that because he got to cheer me on when I crossed the finish line!

In May we really started getting hot weather! That called for popsicles outside!
As you can tell we had an eventful month of May! There is never a dull moment these days and I am happy that is the way it is! :)
